WSLB Holiday Drive
The holidays are here, let’s spread some cheer!
This year we will be hosting a holiday drive to support the Women’s Shelter of Long Beach (WSLB), a local non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate domestic violence through compassionate intervention, education and personal empowerment. WSLB offers a variety of services from counseling and safety planning to education and even housing.
The WSLB Holiday Drive is a great opportunity for LBT employees to collect items such as food, toiletries, toys and essentials for those who need them most. LBT will be collecting items beginning Tuesday, December 1 through Monday, December 14, 2020. Collection boxes will be placed through department areas at both LBT1 and LBT2 – see below for details on collection box locations.
HOLIDAY DRIVE ITEM IDEAS:
Gift Cards: Food4Less, Target, Smart & Final, Walmart –
Toys: Educational, Board Games, Puzzles, Coloring Books, Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils, Arts and Crafts. Stuffed Animals Barbies, Non-Violent Action Figures, Trucks, Children Shoes, Family Friendly Movies, Basketballs, Soccer Balls.
Essentials: Body Wash, Body Lotion, Shampoo, Conditioner, Laundry Detergent, Body Spray.
Specialty Items: Make-up kits, Perfume, Accessories
COLLECTION BOX LOCATIONS:
LBT1: Customer Relations & Communications, Human Resources, Finance, IT, TSD, Risk, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Reception
LBT1 Operator’s Lounge: Communication Dispatch counter and lounge area
LBT2: Training, Service Planning and Maintenance
LBT2 Operator’s Lounge : Communication Dispatch counter and lounge area
For gift card donations: In order to ensure gift cards are not lost in collection boxes, we will have two specific gift card drop-off locations. At LBT1 gift cards can be dropped off at the Customer Service Counter on the 2nd floor. At LBT2 gift cards can be dropped off at Monica Surles desk.
